Runco Quantum Color - the begin of a new era

 

The Runco Quantum Color projectors with LED lightsource mark a new era in video projection.

Runco's Quantum Color Q-750 are a real game changer with their advantages regarding colour reproduction, freedom from service, reliability and energy consumtion over lamp based projection systems. In close collaboration with Texas Instrument's DLP engineers Runco has engineered the Q-750 to eliminate the colour wheel and mechanical iris having thereby no moving parts in the engine. At start-up the colour is calibrated automatically and within 20 seconds the projector is ready for use. It turns instantly off since there is no lamp to cool down.

It's 12-bit colour reproduction exceeds the SMPTE standard for the first time in home theater projection. Colour gamut presets exist for ITU-R BT 709, SMPTE, DCI and sRGB. Further Runco's "Personal Color Equalizer" allows each colour (R, G, B, cyan, magenta, yellow) to be dialed to exactly match an owner's specific taste. To ensure colour adjustment doesn't spoil overall image integrity, Runco "SmartColor" tecchnology maintains true-to-life representations of flesh tones.

The Q-750 power consumption is only 30% of that of a comparable lamp based projector. The Q-750 is available as Q-750i with internal video processing and as Q-750d with Ruco's DHD3 external video processor.
