Supreme 2 - the evolution of the fixed and the motorized screen

Category: Screen Research

Screen Research's new Supreme 2 range of fixed and motorized screens are a major redesign and a significant step forward.

The new Supreme 2 frame is significantly improved over it's predecessor.

The new frame profil is even more rigid, eliminating any frame distortion even on larger sizes. It provides a perfectly flat surface platform to any screen fabric. The new, patented FastGripTM fabric attachement system, which reduces considerably the installation expenditure also contributes to the flatness of the fabric.

FastGrip features a new attachement system for the recommended StopLight black backing fabric. StopLight is suspended from the FastGrip attachement bars and automatically tensions to the size of the screen structure.

The completely new designed casing assembly is more elegant and yet can accomodate the new roller assembly with its increased diameter. Besides smoother operation and enhanced reliability this measure yields better flatness with even larger screen sizes. The new casing allows better serviceability since its front can be opened. The newly designed universal bracket allows optional on-ceiling or on-wall mounting using the same bracket further simplyfying the installation process. The new roller mechanism has also been incorporated into the new in-ceiling slot and trap door opening models.

A further measure which improves the flatness of even larger screen sizes is the newly developed and patented TFX-floating-tab-tensioning system. The unique, dual floating weight design provides a weight-efficient structure can be optimized in-situ, eliminating any possibility of structural damage to the roller assembly. The TFX-floating-tab-tensioning consists of two decoupled weight bars, one housed into the other. One weight applies force solely in vertical direction to the fabric while the other is attached to the screen sides and applies a horizontal force to the tabs. The benefit increases specially with the specification of thicker, more rigid fabrics like the ClearPix2.
