Kaleidescape introduces new Disk Cartridges

 

The immediatly available new 2TB Disk Cartridge for 1U and 3U Servers double the storage capacity compared to its predecessor.

The new 2TB Disk Cartridges double the capacity of the 1U Server (KServer 1500) to 900 DVDs of the 3U Server (KServer 5000) to 3600 DVDs. Not only does the 2TB Disk Cartridges provide twice as much capacity, they also have the power consumption reduced by 12%. An advantageous side effect is that they generate less heat and noise and offer increased reliabilty.

Despite all these improvements the price of the new 2TB Disk Cartrige is less than 20% higher than that of its predecessor.
