Adhoco and Genesis Technologies announce cooperation

 

Adhoco AG, the swiss manufacturer of self-teaching (adaptive) home automation systems, and Genesis Technologies AG, specialized custom installation distributor, have agreed on a cooperation in the area of home automation with components using ZigBee wireless mesh networking.

Adhoco will be offering its ZigBee actuators for lighting and shades control in version compatible to Control4 beginning Dezember 2010. The integration in Control4 results through adaption on the hardware and software. Thus the Adhoco components behave exactly the same way as the Control4 originals.

The small size of the Adhoco actuators favor the installation in the back boxes common in Europe. Installation is significantly simplified compared to conventional Control4 switches and dimmers in the U.S. Decora format. Particularly retrofit projects will benefit as neither a size adjustment of the back boxes or a modification to the wiring is necessary.

Thanks to the scalability and versatility of Control4, even large automation projects are implemented easily. Now in the Swiss format!

This collaboration opens up new market opportunities for both sides from which ultimately the customers benefit by having a greater choice and extended control.
